Secure processing
Online gifts are completed on Stripe’s hosted checkout. Truth Seeker Church does not receive or store full card or bank-account details. Stripe may collect the information it needs to process a payment, prevent fraud, send a receipt, and meet its legal obligations.
A return to our website is not proof of payment. We record a gift only after a valid, signed Stripe notification confirms its status.
Funds and stewardship
You may choose an active ministry fund at checkout. That designation is recorded with the gift and used for reconciliation and stewardship reporting. Corrections, refunds, and disputes are recorded as separate adjustments so the original transaction remains auditable.
Recurring gifts
Weekly, every-two-weeks, and monthly gifts renew at the frequency the donor selects until canceled. Donors can use the Stripe-hosted management link on the giving page to update a payment method or cancel. A cancellation applies to future billing and does not automatically refund gifts already processed.
Refunds and payment concerns
For a duplicate, mistaken, or unauthorized gift, contact Matthew@truthseekerchurch.com promptly with the date, amount, and receipt email. Do not email card or bank details. Requests are reviewed against the Stripe record, applicable law, and the status of the funds before a decision is made.
If you believe a payment was unauthorized, you may also contact your financial institution. Stripe and the church retain the transaction history needed to investigate refunds and disputes.
Receipts and tax status
Stripe’s email confirms payment processing. Truth Seeker Church does not currently promise that gifts are tax deductible, and a Stripe payment receipt is not a tax opinion or charitable acknowledgment. Keep your records and consult a qualified tax professional about your situation.
Privacy and recognition
Choosing anonymous giving keeps your name out of public recognition; it does not remove information needed for payment processing, fraud prevention, reconciliation, legal records, or a requested receipt. See the privacy notice for more detail.
